The MDS-FB Series benefits from a bottom reference approach by resting a heavy hollow weight on the bottom of each tank. This unique OMNTEC bottom reference design takes full advantage of the tank bottom stability versus known instabilities of a tank roof.  The tank bottom reference design is further enhanced by a top mounted constant–tension feature.  This feature maximizes the probe’s level accuracy to less than 0.01 of an inch by removing tank movements and its influence on measurement. In turn this OMNTEC exclusive design maximizes the operator’s ability to manage inventory with accuracy and confidence.

The MDS-FB Series is typically installed on a 6” or larger process fitting.  Other fitting maybe accommodated.  Please consult the factory for a detailed review of your unique application. As with all DataStik probes, the MDS-FB includes the patented DataCheck sensor power and telemetry system. The included DataStik Transmitter provides lithium battery powering and telemetry. Battery will last for up to five years, depending on user selectable duty cycle. The transmitter is factory programmed to provide duty cycles from 10 seconds to 30 minutes. A dynamic duty cycle can be configured to increase transmission rate upon indication of an abnormal movement, increased flow rates and/or reaching a predetermined level. The transmitter performs battery diagnostics every 18 hour sand will emit a low battery alarm approximately 30 days prior to battery exhaustion.  The DataCheck receiver, which can monitor up to 99 transmitters, can be programmed to emit inactive transmitter alarms if any transmitter fails.
